Early 20th Century Dutch Notebook with Colored Pencil Darning Diagrams and Notes studded the latter of which IAs a lover of antique Dutch darning samplers, I was especially delighted to find this Dutch notebook dated 1906, which contains a series drawings diagrams, together with handwritten notes, detailing methods for executing a series of darns. As abstract drawings, rendered in colored pencil, they're quite lovely things (as are darns themselves!), but understanding each drawn line and loop as representing a thread I think makes them even better.
